1. What are cookies and similar technologies?
A cookie is a small text file placed in your browser by a website, allowing it to recognise later visits or produce statistics. Local storage is browser storage used for similar purposes, whose data can be read by the website’s code. On this website, your cookie choice is not sent to external providers.
We use cookies or similar storage only with your consent, except where strictly necessary for the site to function (Section 165(3) TKG 2021).
2. How does the consent manager (cookie banner) work?
On your first visit to hexalion.ai (the Website), a cookie banner lets you allow or decline analytics. The banner follows these principles:
- Before your consent, no analytics code is loaded and no requests are sent to external providers.
- Your choice is not stored in a cookie: whether you accept or decline, your choice remains in your browser’s local storage (
hexalion_consent) and does not leave your device. - Your choice is valid for 12 months. After that, or if the policy changes materially, we ask again. All Website functions remain fully available if you decline.
3. Cookies and storage entries by category
3.1 Necessary (no consent required)
This local storage entry implements your cookie choice. We do not use it for tracking or send it to external providers.

3.2 Analytics (only with consent)
These are placed only if you consent to the analytics category in the banner. Measurement uses Google Analytics 4, loaded after consent; provider: Google Ireland Limited (Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland); safeguards for possible US transfers are described in section 5 of the privacy notice. Measurement takes place in Tewelon GmbH’s own Google Analytics account, and event- and user-level data is retained for 14 months; names, email addresses and entered text are not sent to Google Analytics.

3.3 Marketing
We do not currently use marketing cookies, and the cookie banner has no marketing category. If we introduce marketing tools, such as advertising measurement, we will update this policy beforehand and request separate consent.
4. How can you change or withdraw your choice?
- On the Website: click “Cookie settings” in the footer to reopen the settings at any time, change your choice by category or withdraw it entirely. Withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of prior processing.
- In your browser: you can also delete cookies through your browser settings.
